RM250,000 Stolen In Hypermarket Break-In

 


SEREMBAN: A giant chain hypermarket suffered RM250,000 losses when three men broke into its cashier room on Sunday early morning.

Seremban district police chief Deputy Commissioner Muhamad Zaki Harun said the 1.30am was captured by the closed-circuit television (CCTV).

“The incident was discovered by the supermarket duty manager. He called Seremban police station’s operation room at 7am when he found the storeroom’s door was cut open and the wall of the cashier room was drilled.

“The witness then lodged the police report at 11.51am at the police station,” he said.

Zaki said the CCTV footage showed that the suspects covered their face with cloth and were wearing gloves.

“Police will scrutinize the CCTV footage and investigation including evidence collection and record statement from the supermarket’s workers will be continued.

“This case is being investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code for lurking house-trespass or housebreaking by night,” he said.
