Speaking in state assembly sitting recently, Mohamad said the two new expressways will be built under the 11th Malaysia Plan.
“The first expressway will be linking KL International Airport (KLIA) to Senawang.
“There will be three toll plaza exits at Sendayan, Seremban-Port Dickson Expressway (interchange) and Senawang.
“Another expressway will be linking KLIA to Port Dickson,” he said.
Mohamad also announced another two major road projects in Negri Sembilan that will take place soon.
“To solve the traffic congestion problem from Senawang to Lekas Expressway/Kuala Pilah interchange, the government will construct an elevated flyover from Senawang until the Lekas Expressway/Kuala Pilah interchange.
“The 3.5km elevated flyover will be constructed in three-and-a-half years.
“Another major project is to ‘connect’ the North South Expressway (PLUS) with Lekas Expressway.
“A new toll plaza exit will be built somewhere in Labu to connect the PLUS expressway with the Lekas expressway.
“This planned new toll plaza exit in Labu is totally a separate new toll plaza exit and not the one currently under construction in Labu.
“This will give motorists more convenience and options,” Mohamad explained.
The toll plaza exit currently under construction in Labu is to solve the heavy traffic problem at the current Seremban toll plaza exit.
