State Health director Dr Abdul Rahim Abdullah said the victim received treatment at Port Dickson Hospital on May 6 after suffered dyspnoea (shortness of breath) and nausea on the day before.
“Her condition was bad when she was receiving treatment. She was earlier diagnosed with pneumonia and was transferred to the intensive care unit.
“The victim was later confirmed of contracting the H1N1 swine flu last Friday after a laboratory test,” he said in a statement today. He added that her condition deteriorated and passed away on Monday.
