Full ETC system at Mambau, Lukut toll plazas by June 1

SEREMBAN: Full electronic toll collection (ETC) system will be implemented at the Mambau and Lukut Toll Plazas starting June 1, as part of initiative to facilitate faster transaction. 

PLUS chief operating officer Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said this was part of their effort to promote ETC system which is easier and faster. 

"The ETC implementation at Batu Tiga and Sungai Rasau proved that the system can help in reducing traffic flow, particularly during peak hour. "We hope cash paying commuters passing through Mambau and Lukut toll plazas to migrate to the ETC as soon as possible," he said during media briefing on ETC system at Mambau and Lukut toll plaza here today. 

He said the Class 1 users paying toll electronically at both tolls would be able to save more than RM48 on toll beginning June 1 until Sept 30 as they were getting 20 per cent rebate.
