The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) is offering discounts of between 5% and 37.5% on toll rates and toll rebate of 20% to motorists in conjunction with Deepavali tomorrow.
LLM director-general Datuk Ismail Md Salleh said highways offering toll rebates were the North-South Expressway (PLUS) except for the Bukit Kayu Hitam and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Toll Plazas; Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH); Kulim-Butterworth Expressway (KLBK) and the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link (Linkedua) except for the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza.
He said the highways offering discounts were the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA), Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (Akleh) and Smart Motorway Tunnel.
“Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas), KL-Karak Highway (KLK), East Coast Highway Phase 1 (ECE 1), Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (Duke), New Pantai Expressway (NPE), the New North Klang Straits Bypass (NNKSB) and KL-Putrajaya Highway (MEX) are also giving toll discounts,” he said in a statement.
Other highways include Sungai Besi Highway (Besraya), Kajang Seremban Highway (LEKAS), South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP), SPRINT Highway and the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge (JSAHMS).
In addition to rebates and discounted toll rates, Ismail said some highways would be giving away between 500 to 1,500 Touch ‘n Go cards free of charge to highway users.
The highways involved are the SILK Highway, Grand Saga Highway and LATAR Highway, he said.
