CYBERJAYA: There is strong demand being anticipated for the upcoming freehold upmarket serviced residences and retail property project, Shaftsbury Avenue @ Putrajaya.
Tan Chee Kian, the chief executive of the project’s joint-venture (JV) partner developer iKHASAS Group, said he was confident the project would likely be sold out by the second quarter of 2015.
“This will be the tallest residential building in Putrajaya. As far as the retail lots are concerned, we have sold 62% to date while we have sold about a third of the 307 units of Block B,” he told StarBiz after the launch of the project on Saturday.
He said another block of residential units would be launched soon.
“We anticipate that this will be the next hot spot in Putrajaya and we are ready to cater to the market population of 72,000 residents and 35,000 working adults in our area,” he added.
The secretary general of the Finance Ministry and chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd, Tan Sri Mohd Irwan Siregar Abdullah, who was present at the launch, said plans were under way for a monorail station next to the project site.
The property project, which is slated for completion in 2018, is a JV by iKHASAS and Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, which is a member of the Petronas group.
Putrajaya Holdings CEO and director Datuk Azlan Abdul Karim said the company was happy that the development was moving rapidly with its JV partner.
The retail portion consists of five levels of retail shops with 239 retail spaces and four food and beverage drive-throughs while a direct five-minute walk link bridge from Shaftsbury Avenue to the Alamanda Shopping Centre will also be constructed.
The serviced residences meanwhile come with interior design and would be fully furnished; with facilities such as a three-acre amenities deck with a 56-metre rooftop infinity pool, sky gardens, security and concierge services amongst others.
iKHASAS is mainly a construction and property company which has completed several buildings for corporate clients such as TM, Cyberview Sdn Bhd, Hewlett-Packard Global IT Hub and Malaysian Oxygen Bhd.
